Danfeng wine:
dating back to 1911, it was first brewed by Hua Guowen, a follower of Italian missionary Anseman; in 1912, Hua Guowen managed to raise more than 7000 liang (1 liang = 50g) silver in company of local senators including Ma Xiang and founded Shaanxi Longjuzhai Meili Wine Company, one of the earliest manufacturers who adopted industrial production of wine and the oldest industrial brand of wine industry. Danfeng wine’s color looks like ruby, bright and shiny; the wine tastes nice but not stagnant, mellow but not aggressive, cool but not cold, sweet but not too sour; it whets appetite. Traditional wine and five-flavor wine are rated for successive five years as top quality products at provincial level.
